- Family Medicine team exists of 5 physicians and 2 Advanced Practitioners
- Westdale clinic has both Pediatrics and Family Medicine providers serving the Cedar Rapids Community and surrounding towns south of the metro area
- Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and wellknown clinic
- Onsite Xray (imaging services) Lab (Medlabs) and outpatient physical and occupational therapy.
- Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences
- Experienced staff both clinical and nonclinical who know the patients and the community
- Position 1.0 FTE full time including dedicated administrative time with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
- 24/7 hospitalist program is responsible for adult and pediatric inpatients
- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
Responsibilities
- No nights or weekends
- Shared call amongst the providers. Triaged through MyNurse
- Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
- General family medicine procedures such as joint injections skin excisions lacerations casting etc.
- Evaluates interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
- Patientfocused friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) analytical and problemsolving skills
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1B cap exempt)
