Together with the Director and Assistant Director of Housekeeping the Housekeeping Manager is responsible for managing the housekeeping operation and maintaining the cleanliness levels in all areas of the property.

RESPONSIBILITIES (in conjunction with the Director and Assistant Director of HSKP)
Leads directs and manages the department operations
Trains manages develops and motivates the housekeeping team
Attracts and selects the best talent available from inside or outside the organization
Inspects all areas daily and sets and maintains standards of cleanliness
Participates in month end department inventories
Monitors operations to ensure consistent sequence of service is followed and all brand standards are properly executed
Knows and understands all housekeeping standards and procedures for each department position
Opens and closes the department up to standard by executing the housekeeping checklist
Reviews and develops guest history records to enhance personalized service for repeat guests
Resolves guest complaints and implement changes to prevent future issues
Establishes and executes detailed cleaning and preventive maintenance programs of all furniture fixtures and equipment
Conducts regular meetings with staff to communicate global programs implement new products and procedures and discuss areas of opportunities special events and other activities
Participates in and ensures daily preshift meetings are being conducted in department
Maintains confidentiality of guest employee and company information
QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
2 years experience in hospitality supervision/management preferably in Housekeeping operations (Luxury and/or lifestyle hotel experience preferred)
Degree/diploma in Hospitality Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides knowledge skills and ability sufficient to successfully perform the duties of the position
Thorough knowledge of all matters relating to the proper administration and operation of hospitality housekeeping operations
SKILLS
High energy with effective and great people skills
Positive attitude and the desire to motivate others
Ability to prioritize and work on several projects simultaneously should pose a challenge without being overwhelming
Ability to comprehend and use technical or professional language either written or spoken to communicate complex ideas
Strong communication and listening skills and excellent speaking reading and writing ability
Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to guests management and employees of the organization
Strong command of software applications especially hotelspecific platforms (Opera)
Ability to effectively deal with internal and external guests and staff some of whom will require high levels of patience tact and diplomacy
Fluency in English required: additional languages preferred
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Selfstarter with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong organizational skills
Ability to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
