Overview
Heath Information Technician II
FullTime; FTE 1.0
MondayFriday; 8:00am4:30pm
Moline IL
This position is responsible for providing a variety of health information management/medical records functions.
The work involves responsibility for data entry into the electronic health record including clinical diagnoses and tools and scanning documents. Maintains confidentiality of protected health information according to HIPAA CFR 42 and state mental health laws. Processes correspondence and release of information requests. Monitors documentation for completeness and performs quality assurance activities. The position requires a customer friendly service orientation in a behavioral health setting utilizing the Robert Young Centers Trauma Informed Care Guiding Principles.
Responsibilities
- Preps and scans paper documents into the electronic health record
- Enters notes on appropriate documents and forms
- Enters clinical data from the record into fields in the electronic health record including diagnosis Ohio scales allergies and substance history
- Processes Psychiatric evaluations and assigns appropriate ICD10 code to record
- Enters data into state required databases including Ohio Scales
Qualifications
Education:High School graduation (or GED)
