Job Description
The Personal Care Formulation Scientist provides leadership for customized formulations product innovations and product optimization projects. Leads product and process development from ideation through commercialization. Leverages technical insights and product development skills to develop and commercialize new products for current and potential customers. Utilizes standard best practices and hands on formulating for scale up and commercialization support. Close partnership with Sales Marketing quality vendors and other crossfunctional disciplines to accomplish company goals.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES:
- Leverage technical and development skills to formulate and scaleup products
- Collaborate with Marketing on all new products.
- Work with Quality team to ensure FDA compliancy.
- Provide product and process expertise across product platforms
- Communicate promptly and clearly product and process ideas.
- Formulate products sourcing materials. Request quotes.
- Reviews of New Formulas to include checking the calculations for formulas.
- Collaborate with suppliers to find quality ingredients and competitive pricing.
- Research different products and materials.
- Manage ingredient and product documentation
- Innovate to identify and develop products and process

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors Degree in Science or related field with minimum 45 years experience.
- Experience in personal care formulation.
- Highly motivated creative and independent performer with the ability to operate in a fastpaced high pressure environment
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral or schedule form
- High ethical standards with the ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical critical thinking and communications skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must be able to follow all safety guidelines
The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Laboratory environment which may include long hours standing sitting bending twisting walking climbing stairs strong and/or unusual odors
