Shooting Stars is a schoolbased education engagement program for Aboriginal girls and young women. Founded in 2015 Shooting Stars is the primary initiative of Glass Jar Australia a notforprofit organisation that comes under the wider umbrella of Netball WA.
Now based within 22 schools across Western Australia and South Australia Shooting Stars reaches over 1200 girls and young women building confidence cultural identity and positive connections through engagement activities health and wellbeing sessions and enrichment programs. The team of staff most of whom are Aboriginal women walk alongside the Shooting Stars participants throughout their schooling journeys while offering support advocacy and guidance to ensure they are empowered to make informed decisions and drive their own futures.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Shooting Stars Program Assistant is responsible to support the Program Coordinator to deliver to the Shooting Stars program at their site in this case Derby Primary School and/or Derby District High School with support from the broader Shooting Stars team. Hours of work:
The role is a fulltime position working 37.5 hours per week. The nature of the position requires significant out of hours and weekend work.A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate dependent on level of experience.
