Employment: Parttime employment through June 30 2025. Job Description: Responsibilities include developing and executing CREST Collaboratives Farm to School Program. Building business relationships between local farms and the community at CREST. Integrating these resources into the education curriculum at CREST as well as the food service program. Responsibilities include: Training: Candidate must attend all trainings hosted by the Department of Education and Farm to School program. Network with other districts that currently run successful Farm to School program. Share training experience with CRESTs curriculum director and Director of Nutrition. Program Management: Develop a Farm to School program that integrates local resources with CRESTs curriculum and the food service department. Research local farms that would be interested in a business collaboration Procure foods that can be used in our NSBP NSLP and taste test stations that are in compliance with State and Federal Regulations.Communication: Share newly created Farm to School business relationships and resources with Director of Nutrition and School Principal. Discuss Farm to School curriculum with designated teachers and students. Include weekly communication in our CREST Connect newsletter. Promote program through CRESTs website and social media platforms. School Garden: Develop and maintain a school garden both indoors and outdoors Integrate cropped food into the food service program and taste test stations Qualifications: Knowledge of school food service Federal and State guidelines preferred Experience with the states procurement process Knowledge of the Farm to School initiative Experience working with school collaboratives Skills: Strong written and verbal communication Experience working with computers and social media Excellent time management and organizational skills
