AutoCAD Assistant
Subsurface Construction Company is a leading designbuild geotechnical specialty contractor with offices located in Raleigh NC and Greenville SC. Specializing in the Southeast region we design and implement solutions for excavation support and geotechnical construction: earth retention including soil nail walls soldier pile walls and sheet pile walls ground anchors rock bolts and micropiles. Since 1995 Subsurface has served as a dedicated partner to civil and geotechnical engineers general contractors and owners for excavation support and deep foundations. Duties and Responsibilities
- Review customer provided bid documents and filter appropriate information for use in creation of scope specific inhouse bid drawings.
- Assist in the preparation inhouse bid drawings design sketches plans takeoffs and estimates for potential projects involving soil nail walls soldier pile walls sheet pile walls ground anchors rock bolts micropiles auger cast piles aggregate piers etc.
- Collaborate with our estimating and engineering teams to analyze project documents to determine the feasibility and worthiness of pursuing new projects and the best construction approach for projects we decide to pursue.
- Identify potential engineering and construction related issues and report to the estimating team.
- Conduct research on project requirements site conditions and material specifications to support bid proposals.
- Maintain and organize project documents ensuring all information is up to date.
- Utilize and stay current with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD LT to prepare and manage project documents and drawings.
- Utilize existing estimating processes and workflows identify opportunities for improvements suggesting and implementing enhancements.
- Ensure timely and regular attendance.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of employment.
Qualifications
- Understand CSI system engineered construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing assigned work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively ensuring timely completion of assigned work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD LT is required.
