POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Robotics Electrical Engineering Intern you will have the opportunity to gain handson experience and have ownership of a project or projects to build essential engineering skills and make an impactful longlasting contribution to Aethon.

Areas of Impact: process improvement data analysis documentation quality control project support crossfunctional collaboration ECAD and Design Tool efficiency


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the design team in the coordination of project designs with other disciplines
  • Assist the senior engineering staff in the of the technical activities required on assigned projects and learn the discipline technical policies and procedures
  • Create modify and manage electrical component libraries including the schematic symbols PCB footprints and part number information
  • Participate in technical studies investigations and designs on assigned projects encompassing systems circuit boards and wiring harnesses
  • Work closely with individual design engineers in the Mechanical and Electrical teams as well as team leads to improve overall reliability and performance of our robotic systems
  • Support troubleshooting problems with deployed components/systems and analyze test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional and performance specifications




Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to think analytically and use data to guide decision making
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Selfstarter with the ability to take direction and translate into action
  • Desire to learn and to make an impactful contribution on the growth and operation of our organization
  • Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Understanding of database storage access and management
  • Proficient basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work independently; strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel to Pittsburgh (Robinson Twp) manufacturing facilities on a regular basis
  • Knowledge of 3D Electrical CAD systems
  • Open to Sophomore Junior and Senior applicants
