Job Description
R.J. Corman has an opening for anTruck and Heavy Construction Equipment MechanicinNicholasville KYto perform general maintenance on equipment service repairs and DOT inspections.
Responsibilities:
- Applies welldeveloped knowledge and skills of mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic repair to a variety ofonrail and heavy equipment as well as overtheroad trucks.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses complicated mechanical failures.
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
- General trailer repair.
- High rail inspections.
- DOT inspections.
- Maintains equipment cosmetics and cleanliness.
- Practices safe working habits.
- Ensures working conditions are safe and that proper PPE is being used as job duties require.
- Assists storm teamwhen required.
- Performs other dutiesas assigned.
MinimumRequirements:3 years of mechanical experience with overtheroad trucks and/or heavy equipment or technical degree required. Both a plus!
Physical Requirements:Agility to perform mechanical repair; lifting of up to 100 pounds in the performance of duties.
Environmental Conditions:Performs duties in multiple environments including shops as well asoutside construction project settings in and around moving vehicles and equipment.Possible dusty/oily working conditions to complete repair.
