Job Description
Job Summary
The Construction Foreperson Sr is responsible for administering construction activities forassigned telecom Outside Plant (OSP) work with minimal direct supervision. Responsibilitiesinclude assuring safety at the work site and directly supervising all onsite activities forconstruction work orders. The Construction Foreman leads all construction activities whichincludes but are not limited to travel to and from job site job site setup and breakdownwearing of personal protective equipment setup of appropriate warning signs coordinationwith local authorities safe operation of construction equipment meeting schedules acquiringall necessary materials and equipment for job completion communicating with crew membersand internal and external customers for job status updates.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma is required for the role.
- Associates/Technical Degree two years is preferred for the role.
Experience Level:
- 3 years of OSP Construction experience is Required.
- 4 years of Industry experience is Preferred.
- 2 years of Supervision experience is Preferred.
Job Skills & Knowledge:
- The ability to safely lead and motivate a team with minimal direct supervision.
- Complete documentation in a timely and professional manner.
- Be able to lead a crew under dynamic and changing conditions.
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
- VA811 Computer Based Training (CBT) Excavation Certification.
- VDOT Intermediate Work Zone Traffic Certification
