Job Duties
The purpose of this position is to provide and be responsible for the nursing care of residents during his/her shift. Maintain a quality of service that will fulfill the objectives of the facility and be in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the facilitys administration and governing body. May be required to function as charge nurse on assisted living unit. The schedule for this position will be 2 days per week with rotating weekends.

The brand new Jones & Cabacoy Veterans Care Center (JCVCC) is named after two Virginia heroes. Air Force Colonel William A. Jones III of Norfolk was awarded the Medal of Honor for his service in Vietnam. Army Staff Sergeant Christopher F. Cabacoy of Virginia Beach was killed in Afghanistan in 2010 when his vehicle was hit by a roadside . The Jones & Cabacoy VCC honors their service to the Nation and the Commonwealth. The Jones & Cabacoy VCC was built to serve our Veterans. They served us now it is our duty to serve them. JCVCC is nestled in an ideal location in the Princess Anne section of Virginia Beach on a 25acre site adjacent to Nimmo Parkway (extended) West Neck Rd and N. Landing Rd. This pristine 128bed facility is state of the art with immaculate outside landscaping and features all private rooms that will be organized into eight 16bed households that surround a central community center and rehabilitation gym. Each 16bed sub unit includes a dining room kitchenette and dayroom adjoined access to a courtyard.
You will have the full support of the entire DVS team including the Administrators of the Virginia Veterans Care Center in Roanoke Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care in Richmond and the brandnew Puller Veterans Care Center in Fauquier County (the twin of Jones & Cabacoy VCC). You will also have the full support of the Virginia Beach community. The opening of the Jones & Cabacoy VCC is eagerly anticipated and there will be no end of support for social and volunteer activities both at the Jones & Cabacoy VCC and in the community.

Minimum Qualifications
Must have a current Licensed Practical Nursing license in the state of Virginia. CPR certification required upon hire or willing to obtain.
