Sierra Vista Hospital in Sacramento CA is hiring a
Chief Medical Officer.
Sierra Vista Hospital is a 171bed fullservice behavioral health facility committed to providing topnotch care to patients and their families throughout Northern and Central California. We invite you to join our team and work in a supportive collegial environment that values work/life balance.
Position Details:
- Fulltime 1099/Independent Contractor arrangement with a daily case load of 1618 adult and/or child/adolescent patients.
- Inpatient setting with a focus on regular rounding admissions discharges and treatment team leadership.
- Outpatient setting is available if interested in .
- CMO duties include administration management development and clinical work. The ideal candidate will have Medical Director level experience and must have 35 years of clinical experience in an inpatient behavioral health facility.
- CMO monthly stipend is offered.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- MD/DO degree from an accredited program is required.
- Board certified in Psychiatry is required.
- Board eligible/certified in C/A Psychiatry preferred.
- Licensed to practice in the State of California or ability to obtain licensure.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience is preferred.
- Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to build a collaborative and supportive culture for our medical program.
- Strong management and proven leadership skills required.
- Ability to organize and facilitate meetings and outcomes.
- Willingly accepts direction in achievement of organizations objectives.
- Organizational skills including working collaboratively with others.
The Medical Director position is a highly visible and active role. Some of the duties may include:
- Supervision to other physicians and clinical staff.
- Program development.
- Medical Staff and Executive Team committee and meeting participation.
- Quality improvement initiatives risk managementand service utilization management.
