Saint Louis University a Catholic Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning research health care and service is seeking applicants for a fulltime appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. The appointment is at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor within the Division of HematologyOncology at Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Pediatrics. Preference will be given to candidates with interest and expertise in the area of palliative care. Principle responsibilities include providing palliative medicine consultation for all specialties (in inpatient ICU and outpatient settings) plus education about palliative care to interdisciplinary care teams. Responsibilities will include teaching clinical care and research. SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital is a 190bed free standing hospital located in midtown Saint Louis adjacent to Saint Louis University. The Hospital serves a diverse population from the inner city the metropolitan area and a 200mile referral radius. The medical staff includes over 110 fulltime Saint Louis University School of Medicine faculty who provide the entire spectrum of pediatric medical and surgical services. The hospital has a large neonatal care network and pediatric intensive care unit as well as the regions first multidisciplinary complex medical care team. There are extensive opportunities for collaboration and clinical research both within the School of Medicine and regionally.
