You have completed a BS in Nuclear Engineering or a related Engineering may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in anengineering role for at least 7years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

Your Opportunity

This fulltime role is about making an impact on peoples lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Principal Core Design Engineer in burg VA you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include:

• Creating cross sections of various fuel assembly lattice designs to support one of the many light water reactors that Framatome is the fuel vendor for.
• Designing new and shuffling old fuel assemblies in a pattern that leads to optimal energy requirements while maintaining safety parameters.
• Calculating neutronics parameters providing inputs for downstream analyses and documenting the analyzed results.
• Working with code developers to create new or revise existing codes and automation tools associated with core design.
• Working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful customer delivery.
• Supporting firstofakind core design studies to support new fuel product development or new customer requirements.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $110000 $149000 and may also include annual incentives performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications skill level competencies and work location.
