Job Description
The Advanced Materials Group at Leidos is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to work in our Crane IN office. This role will be an inperson position. Our ideal candidate will be enrolled in an Engineering program at a Junior/Senior/Graduate level. As an Engineering Intern you will gain hands on experience working on challenging projects in a dynamic environment.
Our interns will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on a variety of program goals. We are seeking someone with a strong academic background in engineering excellent problemsolving skills and a desire to learn and grow. Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on engineering projects and assist in the development of concepts and solutions.
- Collaborate with experienced professionals to gain a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing systems and equipment.
- Contribute to the development of project plans and timelines.
- Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Attend meetings and provide updates on project progress.
- Continuously seek opportunities to learn and improve skills in engineering.
- Maintain communication with team members and supervisors to ensure project goals are met.
- Demonstrate strong problem problemsolving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Take initiative and show a willingness to learn and take in new challenges.
- Adhere to project deadlines and deliver highquality work.
- Represent the company in a professional manner and uphold its values and standards.
- Craft and present a poster by the end of the summer highlighting your projects/work
Basic Qualifications
- US Citizen
- 3.0 GPA or higher
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program or related discipline at an accredited University.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Experience writing technical reports and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Data cleaning and preparation experience
- Experience performing data analysis and proficiency in common data analysis tools (Python MATLAB Excel Tableau and/or VBA)
- Database management experience (SQL)
- Experience working with computational fluid dynamics tools (i.e. OpenFOAM)
- Prior course work or experience in fluid mechanics heat transfer C and Linux
- Experience using CAD software (SolidWorks AutoCAD or similar)

Pay Range:
Pay Range $46800.00 $84600.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
