Position Description:
Harris County is seeking an experienced dynamic and motivated team member to join our team! Performs various administrative analytical and reporting functions in support of departmental programs projects and services. Gathers consolidates processes tracks and analyzes data and information using automated systems. Utilizes data findings to provide recommendations regarding departmental policies procedures and services. Handles various departmentrelated questions and issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Researches analyzes and tracks data related to organizational programs projects and services. Which includes performing system changes that address issues directly related to HR processes and procedures.
  • Designs and preserves the HRIS and Power BI dashboard(s) to support the organizations or departments data reporting needs and recommends and implements procedures for problem preventions in collaboration with the Information Technology department to ensure all data transactions and reporting are timely and accurate.
  • Identifies analyzes researches and escalates technical issues ensuring timely resolution for users. Resolves complex problems provides routine support and test the PeopleSoft application and makes recommendations to perform systems changes to address issues as related to HR processes assigned to the HR Department
  • Compiles data reviews updates and coordinates distribution of business process guides user training guides and communication to HR liaisons related to HR processes functions and perform HCM functions.
  • Analyzes reviews county and departmental policies and procedures and oversees communication with departments personnel regarding policy implementation.
  • Creates standard and ad hoc queries and reports which provides statistical analysis to senior leadership to utilize during strategic planning or decision making processes to improve the organizations culture.
  • Serves as subject matter expert providing analytical and specialized support to internal/external departments and all levels of management.
  • Utilizes performance metrics to monitor and evaluate data related to departmental projects programs and services and identifies and recommends improvements such as training customization enhancements to maximize the value efficiency and accuracy of the HRIS.
  • Compile and update Equal Employment Opportunity Commission data for biannual EEO4 Report submission.
  • Conduct audits regarding departmental employment verification processes to ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws
