The Department of Counseling Health & Kinesiology is seeking applicants for a fulltime tenuretrack Assistant Professor position in our undergraduate and graduate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program to begin in Fall 2025.

Applicants must be Board Certified Behavior Analysts have documented teaching experience at the University level and have documented experience as a behavior analyst.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the ABA degree programs. Primary teaching responsibility consist of 6 courses per academic year 3/3 load) and the possibility for summer teaching. Faculty members will also be expected to supervise practicum students. Quality performance will be expected in teaching. Responsibilities also include working collaboratively with other colleagues in the Department the College of Education and Human Development and the University as well as with community partners. In addition the successful candidate will maintain an active research agenda. Work hours depend on course schedule and teaching assignments may include day night and/or weekend courses.
A highly qualified candidate will have experience in studentcentered learning community engagement and/or working with majority Latinx student populations. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate an active commitment to including underserved underrepresented and/or marginalized populations in their research teaching mentoring and/or service.
Required Education and Experience:
Doctoral degree in ABA special education psychology or a related field by August 1 2025 (ABD will not be considered)
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Prior teaching experience in a university setting
Applied experience providing ABA services
Demonstrated ability to effectively address the educational needs of firstgeneration students with a strong commitment to supporting the Universitys endeavor to excel as a Hispanic and Military Serving Institution.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Possess or be eligible for Texas Licensure (Licensed Behavior Analyst
A record of scholarly productivity commensurate with level of experience
A record of extramural funding commensurate with level of experience
Teaching experience at the graduate level in behavior analytic courses verified or accredited by ABAI
Teaching experience at the undergraduate level in behavior analytic courses verified or accredited by ABAI
Experience mentoring and supervising students in ABA
Experience with educational technology and distance learning
Experience providing ABA services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder
Experience providing ABA services in schools
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Ability to complete tasks and work cooperatively with others.
Strong selfdiscipline and ability to work independently.
Ability to communicate effectively with faculty staff students and community partners.
Ability to interact with students from all backgrounds.
