Come work as an Urgent Primary Care Clinic Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
This is an opportunity for a Family Physician (FP) or Emergency Physician (EP) to work in a parttime position at a rapidly growing Urgent and Primary Care Clinic (UPCC) in Richmond.
The UPCC provides urgent care for patients with nonlifethreatening injuries illnesses and conditions that should be addressed within 12 to 24 hours but do not require the service and expertise of a hospital emergency department (CTAS 345. Richmond UPCC is a busy clinic seeing patients of all ages. It is centrally located in Richmond and easily accessible by transit. Richmond UPCC is open 365 days a year with hours of operationMonday to Saturday (including statutory holidays) andon Sundays.
UPCC provides teambased care with physicians working closely with nurse practitioners registered nurses and social workers. Diagnostics on site include Xray ECG slit lamp point of care ultrasound and point of care urine testing. Specialist support and referrals are available through Richmond Hospital. Applicants should have experience in splinting and casting suturing and minor procedures. Patients will be supported to find primary care provider if unattached.
The Richmond UPCC supports a healthy worklife balance and will focus on the professional development and satisfaction of its multidisciplinary team. The clinic supports learning skill development and continuous quality improvement.

As per Ministry of Health policy all health care workers working in publiclyfunded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks.
