Job Description

The primary responsibility is to ensure the safety efficiency and upkeep of the hotel and its surrounding environment during overnight hours. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks addressing any emergency repairs and maintaining a secure and wellfunctioning hotel for guests and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and complete preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment.
  • Operate and maintain the lowpressure boiler for the hot water system.
  • Repair HVAC/R equipment.
  • Operate and maintain other vessels as required for hot water kitchen steam and air conditioning systems.
  • Assist mechanics and external contractors with repairs to hotel property and equipment.
  • Repair and maintain commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
  • Repair and maintain swimming pool and related pool equipment.
  • Complete all assigned work orders and daily tasks in a timely manner.
  • Receive direction for house calls via radio.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Be knowledgeable about Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
  • Understand and comply with OSHA rules and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in general maintenance is preferred.
  • Strong communication attention to detail time management computer and guest satisfaction skills are required.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to crawl for short durations.
  • Ability to bend reach overhead squat and kneel for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift carry push or pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the hotel.
