- As a Software Engineer you will be a key contributor to design development integration and testing and deployment of advanced IIoT / Industry 4.0 technologies based in Ignition.
- Additionally this role will perform root cause corrective action (RCCA) for any hardware and software issues identified in the CFI&A products in the manufacturing factory while supporting data analytics and data visualization efforts.
- The role will work in close collaboration with connected factory engineering chief engineers / architects front end of the business and CFI&A / factory leadership and will include all aspects of the product development lifecycle planning requirements design development test deployment and sustainment.
What You Will Do
- Execute projects involving Ignition application development.
- Contribute to IIoT continued growth and deployment by working with sensors gateways connectivity solutions APIs and data analytic platforms.
- Provide recommendations and on methods to connect manufacturing equipment to IIoT/OT layer network
- Set communication protocols and network configurations on network devices (EIP Modbus/TCP MQTT etc).
- Contribute to major team projects as well as work with minimal oversight to solve complex problems
- Support CFI&A Engineering Systems.
- Expected to Travel 10 of the time.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires an applicable Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
- 5 years applicable related experience to include Ignition SCADA development using combination of tools such as: SQL Python C#/.NET HTML5 JSON
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance and who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Ignition gold certification or willingness to achieve within first year
- Experience with any of the following: Splunk! PowerBI GraphQL Tableau SQL Server SAP Eyelit Windows Task Scheduler Automation SQL Server job agent automation SQL Server SSIS
- Knowledge of scripting and dashboarding.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 key concepts connectivity data collection IIoT systems integration AI machine learning ISA95 Pub/Sub.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus/TCP MQTT EIP SECS/GEM etc.
- Knowledge of scripting and dashboarding
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; experience working across organization boundaries.
- Experience building APIs and creating web applications
- Knowledge of distributed controls cyber security IT infrastructure integration or other related fields
- Experience with data analytics with skills that demonstrate ability to prepare process analyze and visualize significant amounts of information from multiple data sources.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps services framework
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Systems)
- Understanding of automation systems (robots vision systems PLCs etc. deployment and integration

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
