Job Description
Position Summary:
Milacron is looking for a Senior Electromechanical R&D Engineer to join our team in Batavia OH. As an Electromechanical R&D Engineer you will be responsible for the identification design development documentation support and maintenance of solutions for new technologies and subsystems.
Work Youll Do:
Create concepts review and approve hardware for trials and technology demonstrations
Design develop and test subsystems and functional test systems both independently and as part of a team from initial concept to full scale development
Evaluate and implement current and future technologies and requirements in electromechanical systems (solenoids motors drives)
Analyze improve or develop control mechanisms for specific applications or machine types and document them
Explore pregate technologies in other products and develop tool to rate technologies and integration
Adhere to stage gate process and demonstrated experience using analytical software
Ensure the delivery of hardware and software for subsystem trials on time and within budget adopt a customeroriented approach to tailor products to market and stakeholder requirements and maintain a safe and hazardfree workspace and testing environment
Maintain knowledge of mechanical systems pulleys transfer stands and integration experience with electrical systems and motors actuators
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with a concentration in electrical or software engineering or related combination of education and experience
6 years of experience within automotive bulk handling storage systems or electromechanical systems
Experience with analytical software (Matlab Motorpro Maplesim Creo Ansys etc.
Basic knowledge of NEC CE EMC Directives and agile development methodology
Understanding of weighing dosing material handling systems manufacturing systems material flow and related processes or industry experience
Understanding of remote sensing and hardware requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within an international team
