Job Description
The Transportation Division of AECOM is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern for immediate employment out of the Sudbury ON office.
This will be a temporary fulltime position starting in May 2025.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Provides basic support in the areas of project controls scheduling scheduling analysis earned value management and construction inspection activities in support of projects.
- Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations setting up and operating equipment inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
- General understanding of procedures company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
- Performs routine tasks while working under close supervision.
- Entrylevel student position previous work experience not required.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Technician/Technology Diploma
- Must have completed one year of relevant study
Preferred Qualifications:
- Accuracy with details and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Proficient with AutoCAD and design software such as Civil 3D
- Strong attention to detail strong work ethic leadership and organizational skills
- Experience performing construction layout surveys is an asset
- Sound understanding of drawing layouts using preestablished CAD standards on items such as text styles blocks etc.
