The University of Miami Health System UHealth Information Technology Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full time Epic Senior Analyst Lab Information Systems (Clinical Pathology) with a hire date of December 2024. This position will provide support across various sights including our new satellite office SoL Mia.
The Epic Senior Analyst Lab Information Systems (Clinical Pathology) initiates the implementation builds and modifies complex applications and collaborates with key stakeholders endusers and application team members to optimize the applications configuration function and access. The incumbent supports junior staff members in daytoday operations and resolving application issues.
Collaborates with key stakeholders endusers and application team members to optimize the applications configuration function and access.
Serves as a primary support contact for application endusers.
Initiates the design development implementation and maintenance of applications assigned to the laboratory team including but not limited to Epic.
Initiates all phases of testing and the documentation of workflow design.
Performs the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impacts to the workflow.
Initiates the identification of issues and guides the work to resolve them.
Supports junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets identification and implementation of application changes retrieval of requested data and of daytoday operations.
Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
Works with stakeholders the business community and end users to ensure the application meets UHealths business/clinical needs.
Participates in oncall rotations and support and attend and participates in applicable committees.
Maintains regular communication with team members including participating in weekly project team meetings.
Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
Remains knowledgeable about UHealths policies procedures and business operations.
Adheres to University and unitlevel policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Department Specific Functions:
Travel to the job site during golives conferences rounding and/or senior leadership meetings.
Adhere to internal controls and reporting structures
Participate in oncall rotations
Participate in rounding events for customers to better understanding workflows and issues
Attend and participate in applicable committees
Foster a positive collaborative and inclusive team environment
Foster a culture of innovation continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery
Partner with all IT teams when developing streamlined services for customers including but not limited to incident requests and projects.
On occasion and depending on type of project act as the project manager to help oversee tasks through to completion.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in relevant field
Epics Beaker (CP) Certification preferred
Data Innovationpreferred
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; 5 years preferably in healthcare or healthcarerelated organization
Ability to travel to the job site during golives conferences rounding and/or senior leadership meetings.
Analyze and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to lead motivate develop and train others.
Familiarity with lab workflows regulatory requirements integration points with other Epic modules and patient experiences preferred
Experience in clinical pathology and lab practices preferred
Previous Epic Beaker CP implementation experience and certification preferred
Any relevant education certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
