Studio Mis seeking a Machine Operator 2nd Shiftto join our team in Fenton MO.
Who we are:
Studio M is a family owned and operated company of about 100 people based in St. Louis Missouri (Fenton area). We design manufacture and distribute artbased gift and dcor products for the home and garden.
the role:
As a Machine Operator at Studio M your primary responsibility will be to setup operate troubleshoot and maintain printing and cutting machinery. You will assist with any and all work required to meet the production teams goals. Since were a small business youll get to learn and gain valuable experience through a wide array of projects and processes that make a production operation run smoothly.
What youll do:
- Set up machinery for operation
- Start machinery and make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performance
- Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions
- Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance
- Perform quality control follow reporting and record keeping procedures and report problems to supervisor
- Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in the work area
- Assist in product assembly tasks in the offseasons and as needed
- Continuously improve work processes and job skills
- Work collaboratively with the team to accomplish each days production goals
Our ideal candidate:
If youre the right person for this job youll be comfortable working on your feet all day and are seeking a fastpaced work environment. You have a positive attitude enjoy working both with a team and independently and have excellent attention to detail. You can quickly learn how to use computer applications/programs. You probably have a GED or high school diploma and have pursued additional education since graduating.
Skills and abilities:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with speed and accuracy.
- 1 year of machine operating experience at a manufacturing facility is preferred CNC diecutters commercial printers etc.
- Understanding of production and plant processes
- Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add subtract multiply divide) in different units of measurement
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to lift heavy equipment to bend and to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours weekends and overtime if necessary)
- Professionalism patience and a positive attitude
- Problem solving skills

- Excellent communication skills: written and verbal
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Continually required to stand or walk
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity climb balance bend stoop kneel or crawl
- Continually required to talk hear and utilize visual acuity to operate equipment read technical information and/or use a keyboard or mobile device
- Frequently required to lift /carry/push items up to 50 pounds
- Frequently required to work near moving mechanical parts or machinery like forklifts
- Frequently exposed to loud noise
