About Corewell Health South Hospice
We are a community based nonprofit organization serving 3 counties in Southwest Michigan: Cass Berrien and Van Buren for over 30 years. We specialize in providing end of life care and symptom management to individuals with a life expectancy of six month or less. We are one of the few Hospices in Southwest Michigan with a 16bed inpatient hospice residence to serve patients and families needing this environment. We serve individuals in their home nursing facilities and in the hospital.
Scope of work
Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality direct patient care. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse consistent with policies and procedures of the unit. Responsible for direct daytoday care of assigned residents/patients including dressing bathing transporting and feeding. Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.
Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Michigan State Nursing Assistant Certification within 120 Days
Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA or ARC within 90 Days
