At Thermo Fisher Scientific we are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our research and development team as a Lab Manager in Carlsbad CA USA. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a worldclass organization that invests over $1 billion annually in R&D enabling groundbreaking discoveries and innovative solutions to some of the worlds toughest challenges. As a Lab Manager you will play a crucial role in supporting regulated labs and various activities for our CDX business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a part of a Lab Management team managing regulated lab operations and resources.
  • Manage supply logistics for our CDX business.
  • Maintain inventory of lab supplies and ensure proper stock levels.
  • Maintaining lab equipment using an asset management system
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of lab materials.
  • Support adherence to regulatory and quality requirements such as ISO 9001 ISO 13485:2016 and 21 CFE Part 820
  • Maintain lab safety protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field (Molecular Biology or similar) and 2 years or more equivalent experience Masters degree in relevant field (Molecular Biology or similar) with limited experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience working in a laboratory setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Good Documentation Practice (GDP) Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) 5S Lean ISO 13485 and 21 CFR Part 820
  • Excellent attention to detail in record keeping and documentation
  • Familiarity with asset management systems
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and fastpaced environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $75900.00$101200.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on which includes:
