Job Description
Job Summary:
Inspect a wide variety of commercial and manufactured parts for compliance with engineering specifications and company standards
Verify correct product using job traveler
Use inspection methodology and record all results including precision measuring tools
Interpret complex drawings process sheets and company standards
Work with quality and management departments for any manufacturing issues/defects
Monitor machine performance and perform preventative maintenance to assure continuity of production
Read part drawing with sectional views
Maintain plant standards in areas of safety quality delivery cost 5S housekeeping teamwork and attendance
Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be willing to learn
Mechanical aptitude
Blueprint reading ability required
Precision measuring tools required
Dependable honest quick learner effective communication skills and team player
Ability to work a flexible schedule including any days shift and weekends to ensure that the customer demand is met
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
13 years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Solid work history team player
