Job Description
Accountant
Newly created position reporting to the Controller with public Home Builder.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support Processing Center iwith transaction posting account analysis and reconciliation:
- Review contract documents and amendments. Reconcile the financial information between the sales system financial reporting system as well as escrow closing statements.
- Reconcile account ledgers including but not limited to buyer deposits escrow receivables
- Review and reconcile final external and internal Escrow Closing Documentation and prepare Sales Journal Entries.
- Prepare and enter other journal entries as required. > Review sales files to assure compliance with the Departments SOX procedures as well as completion of any deficiencies
- Thrives in fastpaced multitasking deadlinedriven environment.
- Work with multiple states.
- Basic understanding of escrow processes a plus. (E.g. Purchase and Sale Agreements Broker Commissions Listing Agreements HUD1Escrow Closing Statements etc..
Education and/or Experience
BS in Accounting or equivalent; or two to five years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
