Job Description

GAI Consultants Inc is seeking an EIT Engineer in Training to work out of our Homestead Cranberry or Southpointe PA office. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a challenging fastpaced and teamoriented environment that will utilize their college education and related work experience to develop professionally into a wellrounded engineer with the ability to grow in todays global environment.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in water/wastewater process and pipeline design projects for industrial and municipal clients.
  • Assist in Civil Engineering design and calculations for water wastewater and stormwater components of Land Development projects.
  • Participates in technical studies product design preparation of specifications and technical plans.
  • Filling out and completing permit applications for processing.
  • Field work may include water sampling site inspection and construction administration support including completing field observation reports.
  • Prepare plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.

General Characteristics

  • Possesses foundational engineering concepts through undergraduatelevel education.
  • Acquiresbasic knowledge and develops basic skills through mentored experience.
  • Applies learned knowledge and skills to perform assigned tasks.
  • Performs routine technical work which does not requirepreviousexperience.

Minimum Years of Experience

  • Entry / 0

Education

  • B.S. or M.S. Engineering

Certification/Licensure

  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and obtained engineerintraining (EIT) or engineeringintern (EI) certification.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Collects data and gathers information or documents.
  • Participates in laboratory testing and field investigations.
  • Performs basic computations or analysis.
  • Assists with preparation of engineering deliverables.
  • Observes construction activities.

Project and Task Management

  • Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and scope.
  • No managerial responsibilities at this level.

Management Responsibility

  • Receives close supervision onallaspects of assignments.
  • Receives mentorship from a licensed engineer.

Communication Skills

  • Possesses basic oral and written communication skills.Identifiesand acknowledges principles of teamwork and leadership.
  • Interacts primarily with internal project team members.
