Lignetics Inc. located in Broomfield CO is a $300M wood product manufacturing business with approximately 30 manufacturing locations across the US stretching from Oregon to Maine and Canada. The business has rapidly expanded in the last 24 months through multiple acquisitions. Our growth strategy includes continued bolton acquisitions in a rollup of the industry as well as organic growth through enhanced strategic customer relationships and product diversification. The business is profitable and currently expanding the corporate platform to allow for our aggressive growth plans.
Lignetics is developing a portfolio of consumer brands in several different categories including wood pellets for home heating BBQ pellets for grilling wood pellets and shavings for animal bedding and wood fiberbased cat litter. Each of our products have unique features and benefits but are all linked with a wonderful recycled renewable sustainable and carbon neutral story. We turn recycled saw dust into valueadd branded consumer products.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete various financial close and reporting tasks with our Financial Close and Reporting team (month end tasks compiling data for expense analysis etc.
Work on projects with our Regional Finance team (examples include researching transactions putting together presentation slide decks compiling financial data for monthly reviews etc.
Support sales and operations personnel on inventory accounting research and bill of material development
Assist with various projects/tasks related to accounts receivable accounts payable tax payroll and other accounting functions
Assist with acquisition and integration related projects
Assist in maintaining and updating the general ledger ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Prepare and perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
Prepare and post journal entries ensuring proper coding and accounting treatment
Assist with yearend audits and other ad hoc audits as required by external auditors
Assist with special accounting projects and ad hoc tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
Understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Sage 300 or similar)
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times
