Job Description
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors or masters degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology in a curriculum approved by the Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors;
- Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering examination;
- Must be certified as Engineering Intern perMCA
- Provide references as required by the board;
- Must renew certificates every two years by June 30

This position provides mechanical engineering services to the Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO) of the Department of Military Affairs. This position is responsible for assisting with all applicable design and construction projects as well as projects on their own. Assisting in all aspects of the projects: design reviews all stages of construction: developing initiating and managing all phases of the projects analyzing problems preparing documents etc. Verifies the project meets specs and safety standards requested in the contract. All work will be reviewed and signed off by the Professional Engineer. This position will be responsible for final walkthroughs reviewing drawing details verifying installation and appropriate equipment is available for the project. Confirms the completed project complies to standards built to specs and for the intended purpose. This position will ensure the structure/ facility is ready for use and when the oneyear warranty will take effect.
