Position Location:Wastewater Treatment Plant 1810 Marion Agosta Rd. Marion OH
This will be a fulltime nonexempt position in which the pay rate will be dependent upon the position filled WWTP Operator II position starting pay rate is $23.56/hour; WWTP Operator I starting pay rate is $22.72/hour; and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Trainee starting pay rate is $20.30/hour.
The individual in this position will work night shift and operate or learn to operate the equipment in the Wastewater Treatment Plant. An Operator II or Operator I must have appropriate Wastewater Operator Certificate from the Ohio EPA; while the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Trainee is a learning or apprenticeship position both assisting and learning from a Plant Operator in which the individual will have two years from date of hire to obtain a Class I Wastewater Works Operators Certificate. Individual must have good math skills ability to work alone and willingness to learn wastewater processes.
Individual is required to have a valid Ohio Drivers License without restrictions of any privilege to drive at any time and must be free from any requirement for HighRisk Liability Insurance. Must be willing to obtain a Class B CDL.
Successful completion of a preemployment background check physical examination and drug screen are required prior to employment with the City of Marion.
