Job Description
Providence Staffings client is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their property in Phenix City. The ideal candidate must have the technical skills and knowledge of various crafts including HVAC.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor repair issues efficiently and effectively.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and troubleshoot machinery to restore operations diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues.
- Inspect and maintain all building systems including heating electrical ventilation and compressors.
- Propose and implement solutions to address ongoing maintenance concerns.
- Assist in developing metrics to track and improve equipment performance.
- Manage labor and material resources efficiently to control costs.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Establish and enforce safety standards throughout the warehouse.
- Develop and maintain departmental work instructions to ensure consistent procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels communicating any shortages or low stock situations.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to schedule and prioritize building maintenance activities based on input from sales customer service purchasing shipping and inventory teams.
- Strong organizational skills to manage track and monitor maintenance activities to meet established schedules.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Technical knowledge of building systems including electrical and heating systems is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with machinery such as Lsealers heat shrink tunnels blister card machines alloy pad print stretch wrap tape machines conveyors and printers is preferred.
Compensation :
The pay range for this position is $17 $24 per hour based on qualification and experience.
