Job Description
PHP Developer responsible for managingbackend services and the interchange of data between the server and the users.Your primary focus will be the development of all serverside logic definitionand maintenance of the central database and ensuring high performance andresponsiveness to requests from the frontend. You will also be responsible forintegrating the frontend elements built by your coworkers into theapplication. Therefore a basic understanding of frontend technologies isnecessary as well.
Responsibilities
Integration of userfacing elementsdeveloped by frontend developers
Build efficient testable andreusable PHP modules
Solve complex performance problemsand architectural challenges
Integration of data storage solutionsmayinclude databases keyvalue stores blob stores etc.
Skills And Qualifications
Strong knowledge of PHP webframeworkssuch as Laravel Yii Codegniter etc depending on your technologystack
Understanding the fully synchronousbehavior of PHP
Understanding of MVC design patterns
Basic understanding of frontendtechnologies such as JavaScript HTML5 and CSS3
Knowledge of object oriented PHPprogramming
Understanding accessibility andsecurity complianceDepending on the specific project
Strong knowledge of the common PHP orweb server exploits and their solutions
Understanding fundamental designprinciples behind a scalable application
User authentication and authorizationbetween multiple systems servers and environments
Integration of multiple data sourcesand databases into one system
Familiarity with limitations of PHPas a platform and its workarounds
Creating database schemas thatrepresent and support business processes
Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databasesand their declarative query languages
Proficient understanding of codeversioning tools such as Git
