Job Description
- Great working environment located at Upstate Downtown Campus Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists.
- Practice appropriate radiation safety and protection to assure that patients do not undergo undue radiation exposure.
- Areas include inpatient outpatient fluoroscopy operating room and emergency department.
- Adult and pediatric care (Golisano Childrens Hospital)
- Verify physician orders for procedures as well as properly identifying patient.
- Performs all required quality control procedures.
- Maintains compliance with continuing education requirements.
- AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent NYS license/registration or eligible (must obtain within 6 months of limited permit) and ARRT (must obtain within 1 year of appointment)
- Needs a Limited Permit by time of appointment if NYS License/Registration hasnt be obtained yet.
- CPRBLS certification required at the time of appointment.
- Candidates who possess an A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent NYS license or eligible and no experience will be considered for appointment to an entry level (SL1 position.
1 year of experience
Multiple opportunities available.Will work weekends and holidays on rotation. Depending on departmental needs overtime may be required.
