Job Description

About this Role:

Join our team as an Associate Software Engineer focusing on operational excellence in HR Technology. This role manages Workday and other HR applications contributing to Gartners success through innovation and exceptional user experiences. You will assist in maintaining the availability and functionality of HR products and platforms ensuring our HR business teams receives outstanding support from the HR Technology organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application ownership and continuous improvements for Workday and other HR applications following an Operations Excellence model of application management.
  • Going beyond the application troubleshooting and bug fixing this team aims to find solutions to provide long term stability and enhance productivity.
  • Create automation solutions to streamline manual support tasks.
  • Deploy monitoring across technology ecosystems for applications and integrations.
  • Assist in streamlining IT products platforms integrations and components to drive KPI improvements.
  • Contribute to building runbooks for application outages and support Disaster Recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure smooth handoff and consistent process documentation.
  • Follow the 24x7 coverage model with the Operational Excellence team and work within the standard SLAs with the HR team.
  • Support effective Workday design and delivery to reduce total cost of ownership.
  • Good Understanding of SAAS applications or modules such as payroll/Benefits/TA

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience working in an IT Application Management organization is preferred.
  • Foundational Workday experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of IT integration standards and IT support best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL framework tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
  • Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools like Selenium and PowerBI.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and proactive issue identification.
  • Effective communication skills for crossfunctional collaboration.
  • May also welcome new tech talent who seems curious and strong comms/technical skills.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 64000 USD 98000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and location. In addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a rolebased uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO a 401k match up to $7200 per year the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount and more.
