The successful candidate will have an MD degree or equivalent. He or she will be eligible to be certification in Neurology with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. As well he or she will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
The University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry Department of Medicine Division of Neurologyin partnership with Alberta Health Services invites applications for a Neurologist to be basedinthe community withhospital opportunities at Royal Alexandra Hospital. Located in Edmonton Alberta Canada the Faculty has been internationally recognized as among the worlds top 50 medical schools and as one of Canadas premier healtheducation institutions.
Key accountabilities of the FFS Neurologist will include but will not be limited to call and ward duties at Royal Alexandra Hospital or University of Alberta Hospital teaching of medical students postgraduate medical education and fellows in Neurology as appropriate.TheDivision of Neurology works in teams and therefore ability to function in multi andinterdisciplinaryteams is essential. Fellowship training in neurology subspecialties is preferred by not mandatory.
The successful applicant will be expected to apply for a Clinical Academic Colleague Appointment in the Department of Medicine University of Alberta which will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.
