Engineering Specialist Non-Production

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Assist the Resident Engineer in developing an operational plan for the year to support the achievement of throughput objectives
• Undertake to plan up to 12 years ahead the budget requirements according to the planned maintenance schedules verses operational targets
• Liaise with the Resident Engineer regarding daily weekly and monthly progress to plan budget and employees resources
• Review operational plan and reassign targets and objectives to subordinates
• Regularly communicate progress of section against operational targets and objectives
• Evaluate monitor and provide continuous feedback to the section regarding the performance efficiencies standards of the section labour equipment budget and process targets
• Undertake to audit the satisfaction of the operational team to who the coordinator provides high level technical support
• Oversee the quality of workmanship and conduct regular inspections around the section

Qualifications :

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• National Diploma in Engineering
• Trade qualification
• Engineering Specialist Certificate
• Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering will be advantageous
• Government Certificate of competence will be advantageous

Experience

• 5 years experience as Engineering Foreman

Technical knowledge and skills

• Basic computer literacy
• Manufacturing knowledge (Platework /machining/Fitting)
• Mechanical and structural Drawing understanding
• Service environment
• Valid driving license
