We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse talented people to join Alcon. As an Equipment Engineer you will be trusted as a subject matter expert to support Manufacturing operations in Johns Creek GA. In this role a typical day will include:
- Identify design and implement improvements to machines and processes related to the overall contact lens production process.
- Daily troubleshooting and correction of issues related to the support of 24/7 contact lens production process. Provide expert level support and advice to the organization on key processes.
- Participation on capital projects including management of associated internal/external resources and validations.
- Coordination with suppliers and quality control on raw materials issues and spare parts issues.
- Execute protocols and continuous improvement support for production initiatives and prepare documentation related to procedures training work instructions validations ES DOE etc.
WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 8 yrs; Assoc.4 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read write understand and communicate in English
- Experience with the development and/or support and improvement of highly automated production equipment
- Project Management Experience
- Ability to create specifications and validation protocols for new or modified equipment
- Ability to read electrical pneumatic and mechanical drawings
- Experience with data analytics using tools such as Tableau Minitab SEEQ and related tools
