Job Description

As a Bus Aide you will play a critical part in ensuring safe and timely transportation of children to the preschool classroom.This is a parttime position offering a rewarding opportunity to contribute to our community and make a difference in the lives of children. Join our team today!
Compensation
- Paid hourly at $14.21
Location/Hours
- Leaves from the Wingate Center
- This position works a split shift MondayFriday working 4 hours per day (potential to hire two individuals if someone is interested in either the morning or afternoon transportation time only).
- Transportation timeframe (This time may fluctuate at times):
- 6:00 am to 10:00 am
- 1:00 pm to 4:45 pm
- Transportation timeframe (This time may fluctuate at times):
- This position works approximately 175180 days a year (primarily during the school year).
Responsibilities
- Work with children aged 3 to 5
- Assist children in boarding and exiting the bus safely
- Ensure children are properly buckled in their seat belts
- Follow assigned bus route and schedule for pickup and dropoff
- Collaborate with the bus driver to maintain a safe and orderly environment
- Communicate with parents as needed regarding transportation arrangements
- Completes and submits paperwork within the required timeframes
Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience working with young children
- Documented good physical health
- Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History PA Child Abuse History FBI Criminal History and Mandated Reporting Certificate

Physical Requirements
- Reach overhead.
- Lift and carry objects over fifty 50 pounds.
- Stand for extended periods of time with reasonable breaks.
- Walk and stand for periods of over one hour.
- Climb stairs.
- Stoop to move objects.
- Bend to reach objects from the floor.
- Use sweeper and other cleaning apparatus (push and pull).
- Operate a motor vehicle.
- Climb ladders and steps.
- Operate power equipment according to guidelines.
- Vision and hearing within normal limits.
