Overview

MSA has a new opportunity for a Project Manager Roadway Construction in our Cedar Rapids IA office.

This dynamic role involves supporting project teams in various construction services managing a wide range of complex infrastructure projects and mentoring field staff to ensure timely project completion.

We seek a candidate with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and contractors. The projects youll be involved in will make a significant and positive impact on the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Communicate with internal and external clients in support of existing projects and the development of new projects
  • Provide oversight and guidance to less experienced colleagues in the field and provides constructability feedback and guidance to project design team.
  • Regularly interact in a professional manner with the Public on project related issues.
  • Perform marketing and business development in partnership with Team Leader Client Liaisons and Client Service Managers.
  • Assesses Scope and Capabilities of the project prepare Project Management Plan QA/QC Plan and other plans necessary for successful project completion.
  • Communicate via meetings emails and other documentations to all stakeholders.
  • Lead oversee and/or perform construction layout staking services and/or survey layout services.
  • Ensure delivery on all commitments conduct quality reviews and utilize a process/checklist for closeout.
  • Track budget and review invoices.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

  • High School diploma required
  • Associates in Civil Environmental or Architectural Engineering Technology or related degree preferred
  • 6 years of relevant work experience with survey equipment for data collection layout and with construction related services.
  • Professional licensure or project management/business/construction management preferred.
  • Strong initiative to complete projects on time.
  • Proven skills in empathetic communication crucial conversations and effective mentoring of team.
  • Top notch negotiating skills.
  • Ability to excel independently and within a teambased environment.
  • GIS CADD and various proprietary and commercially available software experience required
  • Survey equipment and various fieldtesting equipment experience required.
