Description

Under the direction of the Associate Vice President for Human Resources the Human Resources (HR) Operations Specialist provides executivelevel administrative and human resources generalist support in delivering highquality condential services to employees and students. The HR Operations Specialist supports the daily operations of the Office of Human Resources including but not limited to managing employee records and retention employee onboarding benets administration compliance and daytoday office operations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field at least two 2 years of workrelated experience; or an associates degree in Administrative Office Technology Business or a related discipline with four 4 years of workrelated experience. Human Resources experience with a focus on payroll benefits administration and HRIS management is preferred. Previous work experience in a higher education environment is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in payroll processing software and HRIS platforms experience with Paycom is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations and compliance

  • Strong analytical and research skills are required including utilizing technology to perform data analysis and research.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of PCs in a Windowsbased environment and business software such as Outlook Excel and Word.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction setting priorities and schedules and identifying and adhering to departmental objectives.

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff faculty students and leadership in a highvolume public setting.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly guide and train staff and supervisors.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

  • Demonstrated ability to embrace change and be productive in a fastpaced environment.

  • Maintain high standards of quality of work at a fast pace along with a high level of flexibility confidentiality and attention to detail.
