Position Summary
The Department of Health Policy and Management at the topranked Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking applicants for adjunct faculty who are interested in teaching courses in our academic programs (described below). Rank is open and will be consistent with qualifications and experience. We seek adjunct faculty members who are interested in teaching in both our residential (oncampus) and executive (online) programs in the following areas: accounting capstone/capstone preparation finance global health health law health policy human resources leadership marketing pedagogy program planning and evaluation public health public health informatics quality of care research methods strategy statistics and US health care system. * Demonstrated commitment to contributing to a diverse equitable and inclusive environment. * Experience in health policy and/or management in diverse settings including health care systems provider organizations consulting firms notforprofit organizations government or universities. * Experience teaching students with varying levels of academic preparation and experience. (i.e. potentially undergraduate through doctoral) * Demonstrated interest in the use of teaching methods that emphasize and encourage active student engagement and interaction. * Experience defining and evaluating competency achievement. * Comfort with technology that can be applied to teaching and learning enhancements. * Experience overseeing projects including practicums and capstone projects in diverse settings. * Experience and interest in advising and mentoring.
