The Golf Course Equipment Operator is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the care and maintenance of golf course.
Compensation:$17.00 per hour based on experience
Qualifications Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Golf course maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Must possess the ability design coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course
- Working knowledge of the tools methods and materials used in grounds and landscaped area construction and maintenance work
- Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations
- Ability to give oral and written instructions
- Skilled in seeding fertilizing mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
- Must be dependable
Responsibilities:
- Operates motorized vehicles
- Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
- Mows greens aprons fairways roughs tees and other areas
- Waters tees greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
- Repairs the irrigation system pipes and irrigation heads as needed
- Grades and prepares soil base lays sod and seeds greens tees and fairways
- Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
- Applies pesticides herbicides and fertilizers to the golf course
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
