About the Role
Nondestructive Testing Instructor for the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing will include but are not limited to delivering instruction advising students lab setup and teardown monitoring consumables and supporting curriculum development. This position will require a driven individual to teach in an accelerated shortterm training program.

Curriculum includesNDTmethods Radiographic Testing (RT) Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Visual & Optical Testing (VT).

Shift Details
First shift classes start at 7:00 a.m. Second shift classes start at 3:00 p.m. Third shift classes start at 11:00 p.m.

Work Location
We are looking for staff to work onsite in Danville VA.

The Ideal Candidate

  • High School Diploma orGEDand a minimum of ten 10 years ofNDTexperience as anNDTLevel II or equivalentin theNDTmethod to be taught (perANSI/ASNTCP 189 Paragraph4.4.1.4
  • An Associates degree in science engineeringNDTor a related field and a minimum of five 5 years of experience as anNDTLevel II or equivalentin one or moreNDTmethods: Radiographic Testing (RT) Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Visual & Optical Testing (VT) (RT UT MT PT and VT) (ANSI/ASNTCP 189 Paragraph4.4.1.3
  • Certified as aNAS410 Level II in theNDTmethod to be taught (perANSI/ASNTCP 189 Paragraph 4.4.1.4
  • Current American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level II in one or more of the following methods: Radiographic Testing (RT) Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Visual & Optical Testing (VT) (perANSI/ASNTCP 189 Paragraph4.4.1.1

Other Preferred Qualifications

  • NAVSEAequivalence per T9074ASGIB010/27
  • Experience training and/or teaching inNDTor a related field
  • Experience in submarine industrial base
  • Familiarity withNAVSEATechnical Publications as they relate to the current requirements of the defense industrial base
  • Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) and experience withNDTof welds.
