Job Description
Overview
The primary purpose of the Medical Technologist Hematology position is to independently perform
routine and complex laboratory analyses; assume responsibility for procedural and system controls problem solving teaching andsupervision under direction. Provides physicians with accurate and reliable analytical results necessary for the diagnosis/treatment of patients.
Responsibilities
- Performs and demonstrates proficiency in all applicable lab testing and analyses the lab procedures
- Evaluates and reports results accurately to appropriate personnel
- Performs STAT Procedures
- Performs and logs maintenance procedures for equipment
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or a related field. ASCP certification or equivalent is preferred.
American Society for Clinical Pathologist for those possessing the certification; University Hospitals
designated Background Check Compan
