Join the team at John Fawkner Private Hospital as an Occupational Therapist! Were looking for an experienced professional to bring their skills to our Allied Health Services team on a parttime basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team ensuring exceptional patient care is being delivered.

John Fawkner Private Hospital is a fully accredited 186bed acute care facility providing a comprehensive range of surgical medical cancer and critical care services. Equipped with advanced medical surgical and diagnostic technology John Fawkner Private is focused on meeting the growing healthcare needs of patients in our local community and surrounding regions.

Specialising in Cardiology Orthopaedics General Surgery and Cancer the Hospital provides a comprehensive range of onsite medical and surgical services and delivering the highest standard in all areas of health care.

As the largest private hospital with the only private 24 hr. Emergency Department and Critical Care unit in northwestern Melbourne John Fawkner Private works with highly skilled visiting specialists who offer subspecialty expertise.

John Fawkner Private Hospital has a longestablished tradition for providing quality healthcare to our local community the veteran community and patients travelling from regional northwest Victoria.

As an Occupational Therapist your responsibilities will include:

  • Assess and evaluate patients needs to develop individualised treatment plans
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients functional abilities and quality of life
  • Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professional to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Educate patients and their families on managing conditions and achieving therapy goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes

Essential Criteria:

Authority to Work in Australia

Working with Children check

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy

Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care

Selfmotivated team player

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
