Job Description
- Lead groups of up to 16 students through curriculumguided activities
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of age appropriate learning materials and equipment
- Manage daily tasks for teaching assistants assigned to support you
- Keep it fun but also manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and routines
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies
- Adequately prepare for each program by reading the curriculum watching training videos and/or participating in facetoface training sessions
- Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs
- Encourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs
- Participate in periodic Snapology training & staff meetings as required
- Criminal and Child Clearances must be current
- 2 or more years of experience working with young children in a classroom or camp environment
- Education degree or teaching experience recommended teachers pursuing a degree in education will also be considered for this position
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
- Weekday afterschool and/or evening classes
- Weekend workshops and/or birthday parties
- Summer camps
- Special events holiday and break workshops
