Minimum Qualifications
Prior to the effective date of appointment * successful candidates must have: MD DO or MBBS degree. Completed Emergency Medicine residency. Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (or BoardEligible^ Ohio Medical License Federallyissued DEA License *Residentsintraining are encouraged to apply. ^In recognition of widespread postgraduation certification delays candidates may onboard as BoardEligible with a nonnegotiable expectation of Board Certification completion as soon as is feasible and within 12months of hire. Such successful candidates would onboard as Instructors and only move to Assistant Professor after providing documented Board Certification. Successful candidates will receive offers contingent upon satisfying these requirements prior to their start date. Instructors must meet all of the requirements as BoardEligible by their start date. Assistant Professor candidates must meet all requirements above by their start date. Associate Professor and Professor candidates will additionally need to meet the time of service and publication requirements by their start date as outlined and governed by WSU BSOM Faculty Affairs policies: Qualifications
Professional history with research publications and grant submissions; academic leadership or clinical leadership; or advanced investment into UME / GME efforts (e.g. curriculum development classroom teaching simulation center instruction). Professional history with the direct supervision of resident learners within the ER. Ability to serve as a model for excellence in research and clinical care.
