Job Description
Job Title: HGV Technician
Location: Swindon SN5 8YU
Salary: Basic salary Up to 42000 individualefficiency based bonus OTE Up to 48300 Overtime
Full Time and Permanent Monday to Friday working alternateday / late shifts:
Shifts will alternate between 6.00am3.00pm and 1.00pm10.00pm
Our client is an Automotive retailer representingprestigious Car and Van Brands they have a total of 30 businesses providingsales service and accident repair services across Sussex Surrey KentHampshire and Wiltshire.
Established since 1931 they are a successful andprogressive third generation family owned business.
They are now actively looking to recruit for a HGV Technician fortheir Truck and Van dealership in Swindon SN5 8YU.
Key Responsibilities
- Through the use of diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified. Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required.
- Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
- Carry out diagnosis repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
- Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
- Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified.
- Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and roadtesting vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Advisor.
- Complete relevant service documentation (job sheets PDIs service reports) in line with brand standards warranty and site requirements.
- Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times including the use of special and personal tools.
Pleasenote our client is happy to put candidates through their HGV driving test ifyou do not have a HGV driving licence

Requirements
Theexperience you will need
Essential:
- Experience working on HGV trucks and vans.
- Full and valid driving licence
- Level 3 qualified within HGV Mechanics.
